Happy Trails Collection ~ Initial Release Summer 2011

The Happy Trails collection made their debut the summer of 2011. They are a smaller companion piece to the classic sized ponies, coming in between 4.5 and 5.5 inches in height. They are all made of resin and are surprisingly well crafted and detailed. Each piece is an original artist design which is quite nice as they are not just another "in house" design. I will be listing all of the Happy Trails releases on this page at this time. Descriptions will be brief.

  • All ponies will have the artist's name stamped on the base. The Trail's designation is Inc.
  • All will be stamped "Handcrafted in Thailand.
  • The Enesco logo is stamped on as well.
  • The production date is stamped on the bottom with a unique year symbol. Ex: a horseshoe for 2011 releases.
  • They do not come with story cards or tags. Rather the description is stamped on the underside of the base.
  • These ponies will all come in a light colored box with a picture of the pony on the front and a write-up by the Trail on the back.
  • None of these ponies have been made into life size models.
  • All of these ponies are still in production.

Simply Home is classic Fab Leydecker. Her folk art really shines here. The pony is a pretty light tan with a charming red farmhouse on the front side along with a pair of sparse trees. The flip side features a pair of farmhouses, one carmel the other olive brown. The piece is shaded with background trees on both sides. The mane, forelock and tail are black. All four hooves are black topped with chocolate socks. The base is an intricate checkerboard trimmed in trees leaves.

Delightful pony, Fab.

Oh, the problems with this piece. The pony is flat white with chrome, red, white and blue motorcycle parts imposed on it. The mane and tail are red. The hooves are silver. The base is dark blue with a red stripe. The handlebars are a huge problem and break easily.

Icicles is a study in contrasts. The dark blues and lighter blues works nicely together and the "snow melt" on the top is quite pretty. The stars and falling snow are nicely scattered. White banding at the top of the legs leads down to dark blue legs and four white hooves. The base is white with icicle sides. Cute piece.
